The wine Akte 2024 of Kyperounda Winery has been included in the list of Great Greek Wines 2025, an institution that pays tribute to the quality and authenticity of
Greek and Cypriot vineyards. This distinction represents an important recognition of the oenological identity and consistency of our winery. Out of 660 wines from almost 200 wineries from Greece and Cyprus, only 10% were chosen, with Akte 2024 standing out for its character and quality.

The wine EPOS red 2020, stood out at the Year Panel Tasting of the specialised and internationally renowned wine journal ”Decanter” together with another 112 wines
from 29 countries, gaining reviews for its unique taste characteristics and its Mediterranean aroma. It is the only wine from Cyprus that is included among the wines of the year for 2023, in the January 2024 edition, following its nomination by Master of Wine Caroline Gilby. The reviews refer to a wine with a sweet botanical dimension, with aromas from Mediterranean shrubs, notes of rosemary, bay and almost lemony aromas. Pleasant with oak aromas and a lasting aftertaste. This distinction undoubtedly
contributes to establishing the Kyperounda Winery as one of the most important wineries in the Cypriot wine sector not only in Cyprus, but internationally as well.

The IN Business Awards are the most recognised and prestigious annual awards for businesses and entrepreneurs who have distinguished themselves in the Cypriot business world. This award undoubtedly contributes to establishing Kyperounda
Winery as one of the most important wineries in the Cypriot wine sector.

''Commandaria'' at the Buckingham Palace

It is a great honor for Cyprus that our “Commandaria” wine of the Kyperounda winery was among the wines selected for a formal dinner held at Buckingham Palace. Specifically, the Kyperounda Commandery was offered during the formal dinner hosted by Queen Elizabeth II celebrating the official opening ceremony of the two-day Summit of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CHOGM), on Thursday the 19th of April, 2018. The President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nikos Anastasiades was also present at the event. The dinner was attended by members of the Royal Family as well as delegates of the Summit.

Our “Petritis” wine was included in an article on wines made from high altitude vineyards in the British Independent. The popular British newspaper reports that the variety of sapphire made by “Petritis” comes from an altitude of an impressive 1400 meters above sea level.

Another important international award was granted to the Kyperounda winery, as the world renowned wine magazine “Decanter”, included the “Petritis” wine among the 25 most impressive wines in the United Kingdom for under £25, in the April issue.

This is the second time that “Petritis” wine is featured on a similar list of “Decanter” magazine after it appeared among the 50 most impressive wines under £50 in the January 2017 issue.
